Original Psychological Gothic Narrative
A psychological gothic narrative centered around isolation, manipulation, and the hidden truths buried beneath the elegance of an aristocratic estate.
As a young photographer becomes entangled in the lives of a mysterious family and the people hidden within its walls, the story unfolds through obsession, fractured trust, emotional survival, and the unsettling line between captivity and connection.
Intro Sequence
Russia… the heart of secrets, fear, obsession, and quiet hatred.
A country where beauty and decay exist side by side — where every passing stranger seems to carry a different tragedy beneath their skin. Beautiful women. Empty vodka bottles. Luxurious halls filled with dark secrets and forbidden love lingering close enough to breathe against your neck.
You’re probably wondering what a woman like me was doing in the furthest corners of a place like this.
My name is Alina Morozova.
I’m the lead photographer for a travel magazine. I move from country to country capturing forgotten places, hidden stories, and the truths people try their hardest to bury.
I came to Russia to photograph its cities.
Instead, I found myself drawn into its secrets — and somewhere along the way, I began believing they could cleanse something inside me too.

Dialogue Fragment
Location: Lower East Hall, Cashore Estate
Context: After discovering hidden photographs of herself inside the estate, Alina confronts Dominic late at night.
ALINA: You knew someone was following me.
DOMINIC: I knew someone was watching.
ALINA: Stop answering questions I didn’t ask.
The corridor falls quiet again. Somewhere deeper in the estate, old pipes groan behind the walls.
ALINA: Those photographs downstairs…How long have they been there?
DOMINIC: Long enough.
ALINA: You could’ve told me.
DOMINIC: Would you have stayed if I did?
Alina says nothing. Dominic studies her expression carefully, as though waiting for her fear to finally outweigh her curiosity.
ALINA: So what am I to you people?Another experiment? Another guest trapped in this place?
DOMINIC: You were never meant to become involved.
ALINA: That’s not an answer.
DOMINIC:I t’s the only one you’re getting tonight.
She steps closer.
ALINA: You keep speaking like you’re trying to protect me, but every door in this house is locked.
DOMINIC: Because some things inside this estate should never be disturbed.
ALINA: And yet you brought me here.
A long silence settles between them.
DOMINIC: No.I was sent to keep you away from it.
ALINA: Then what changed?
For the first time that evening, Dominic hesitates.
DOMINIC: You did.
Alina’s expression hardens, though the uncertainty in her eyes remains.
ALINA: I don’t know if you’re lying to me anymore.
DOMINIC: That makes two of us.

Final Scene Fragment
Years after escaping the estate, Alina finally stood surrounded by the photographs that had once nearly destroyed her.
The scar across her arm had long since healed, though she chose not to erase it. Instead, black thorns and crimson roses now curled around the mark — transforming the wound into something she could carry without shame.
Long after the gallery emptied and the applause faded into silence, she remained seated alone beneath the exhibition lights, a half-empty bottle resting loosely in her hand as she stared at the images that survived alongside her.
That was when she noticed the envelope hanging loosely behind the final frame. And stamped across its seal was a mark she had spent years trying to forget.
